Chamber music, like a meal at a fine restaurant, can thrive on intimacy. In partnership with some top Raleigh eateries, the North Carolina Symphony's "Soundbites at the Pub" series offers both the food and the music. This month, symphony musicians nestle in with a Beethoven string trio and a quartet by Brooklyn's Sarah Kirkland Snider, best known for her "Penelope" song cycle. Meanwhile, Humble Pie dishes a multi-course meal featuring a choice of shrimp and grits, fregola sarda or a pork loin with charred Brussels sprouts, capped with a chocolate torte with sea salt, caramel and whipped cream. Tickets are rich, but so are the goods.
