NC Authors

When: Sun., April 28, 3 p.m. 2013
Price: Free

You have literary choices on this Sunday afternoon. Do you head to McIntyre's in Fearrington Village at 2 p.m. to hear poets Joseph Bathanti and Jaki Shelton Greene? Or do you hit Quail Ridge in Raleigh at 3 p.m. for local novelists Carrie Knowles and Peggy Payne? I dunno ... that's too killer a lineup of poetry to pass on. Bathanti is the state poet laureate and Green is the Piedmont Poet Laureate. But then again, Knowles' new novel Lillian's Garden and Payne's new Cobalt Blue are just out. It's hard to pass on a double dose of fresh Tar Heel prose. Can't we just have all four meet in the middle at the Regulator or something? —Chris Vitiello
