The resounding pipes of Allison Moore lead the Southern blues and soul of Asheville trio Woolsey Heights. Moore is a belter with a resonant voice equally indebted to Aretha and Janis. Compared to her rafter-raising vocals, the music's an understated and odd combo of saxophone and acoustic guitar. It's a keen choice, allowing a lot of articulated detail and nuance behind Moore's steamroller vocals. Raleigh's Multiples released their self-titled debut two years ago; it spanned a spectrum of bar-band rumble, power pop, slinky cock rock, blues-folk and jam funk. Also, Shane Kelly and Dave Hedeman. The 9 p.m. show costs $5. —Chris Parker
