Hollywood Ending

Woody Allen has been cranking out a film each year, without fail, for the past 35 years. Whether you think the quality of his last few films has been on the wane, this Friday brings another in his recent string of comic capers. In Hollywood Ending, Allen plays Val Waxman, a filmmaker whose career has seen better days. After years of filming commercials, Waxman is finally offered the chance to direct a film. But disaster strikes when he goes temporarily blind due--in true Woody Allen fashion--to paranoia. The comedy comes in as Woody and his cast--including Tea Leoni, Debra Messing and Treat Williams--try to keep the producers from discovering that he is directing the film blind. See "Opening Friday" for theaters.
