Hunters of the Sky

Hunters of the Sky
N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences—Forget Hitchcock's take on birds—the Hunters of the Sky special exhibit showcases the majesty and mystery surrounding birds of prey. From divine messengers to bone-pickers, raptors have assumed various roles through legends and myths. However, this exhibit shows us a side to these creatures that the myths overlook through a thorough and dynamic exploration of current public policy issues that they face. Concerned your kids might not be too interested in environmental ethics (yet)? No worry—the exhibit is sure to keep kids entertained with bird-eye-view video footage and a participatory owl dialogue. Go today: The exhibit opens at 10 a.m. and closes for good at 4 p.m. Tickets are $2 to $4. More info at —Sarah Lupton
