This story could be interpreted two ways, but what's not subject to interpretation is Duke's policy of only holding men accountable for gaining consent. That policy seems to be in violation of the same title IX interpretation used by the DOE to hold colleges accountable for reducing sexual assaults.
I'm all for making colleges safer for students, but when you have explicitly stated policies that discriminate based on a person's gender, that does not support in perception or practice a fair and unbiased disciplinary system.
