Paperhand Puppet Intervention's heartwarming show returns this holiday season, complete with additions and bonus features. Known for its enormous puppets that might remind some of the ones seen in Across the Universe, the company prides itself on incorporating art with a mission of peace, shown especially in this show as robots tell the story of their survival 2,000 years into the future. The show premiered last February; this encore gig begins with Friday and Saturday performances at 7:30 p.m. and concludes with Sunday's 2 p.m. matinee. (The following weekend, it moves to Paperhand's studio in Saxapahaw.) Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students and seniors, and $10 for kids 4 to 14; under 4 are admitted free. —Lauren Shute
