The last time choreographer Nicola Bullock asked a few friends to create new works on a certain topic, the multi-genre showcaseSexy Is Importantpacked Motorco with music, dance, searing monologues, installations and performance art on Valentine's Day 2011 (before it took our end-of-year theatrical award for Special Achievement in the Humanities). This time out, the subject is love, which is "so much more, and much more interesting, than what it's marketed as in our culture," Bullock observes.

As usual, the posse is heading out in all directions. Torry Bend leaves the puppets home this time with a story about intimate letters left in public places. Video atmosphericist Jon Haas takes us to Malawi. Monologist Jeni Smith and performance artist Kegan Dean Rushing, standouts from the 2011 show, escort us on two very different trips. New music from Bevel Summers and kora player Will Ridenour punctuates provocations from Miss Victoria Belle AndrogeoFemme Hegemony, choreography from Renay Aumiller—and a few words from T.S. Eliot. Intrigued? Thought so. Tickets to the 9 p.m. show run $8–$12. —Byron Woods
