He sings of broken feelings left behind by a very broken family, and the tight six-piece behind him never fails to lend support. Bold strings tangle with often searing guitars, twisting into thorny brambles. Picker puts his confessions to rest as rapturous melody and harmony take bloom, capturing beauty from all the grief.
