For seven seasons, Judah Friedlander had quite the cushy job, playing a slobbish, funny-looking, smartass comedy writer on 30 Rock. This wasn't much of a stretch, since Friedlander is also a slobbish, funny-looking, smartass stand-up comic. Known for his oversized glasses, a jaw-dropping collection of custom-made trucker hats and a usually hair-covered face, Friedlander is an embodiment of eccentric yet distinctive trademarks. But he can also drop his weirdo M.O. and be a reliable actor; check out his roles inWet Hot American SummerandAmerican Splendor. Now that 30 Rockis off the air, perhaps Friedlander can go back to doing what he's truly good at. No, not stand-up, silly—it's beating up people. After all, the self-proclaimed "world champion" wrote a book on superior ass-kicking in 2010; it's calledHow to Beat Up Anybody: An Instructional and Inspirational Karate Book by the World Champion.
