No matter who's fleshing out the lineup on a given night, electrifying Raleigh guitarist and vocalist Josh Preslar always manages to assemble a top-notch collection of veteran Triangle blues talent. This show celebrates the birthday of one of Preslar's frequent guests, Mike "Howlin' Wind" Davis. Howlin' Wind plays a mean blues harp and takes an occasional vocal turn. Preslar—president of the Triangle Blues Society—deals largely in fiery Chicago-style sounds, though bits of swing and jump blues make their way into his electric blend. —Spencer Griffith
