Johnny Folsom 4, Jefferson Hart & the Ghosts of the Old North State

When: Sat., Aug. 10, 8 p.m. 2013
Price: $10
The Johnny Folsom Four pays faithful tribute to the classics of Johnny Cash. With David Burney's vocals serving as a dead ringer for the Man in Black, and his band providing clean guitar licks and click-clack rhythms, Miss Eleanor Jones sits in on occasion as June Carter Cash. (These locals also play the Lincoln Theatre at 8 p.m. Friday with Nasty Habits; $8–$10, lincolntheatre.com.) Opening Saturday's show are Triangle veterans Jefferson Hart & The Ghosts of the Old North State, formerly known as Jeff Hart & The Ruins. Despite the name change, they retain the classic spirit of their power pop-graced roots rock. —Spencer Griffith
