Joe Rogan

When: Fri., Sept. 28, 7:30 p.m. 2012
Price: $41.40

Now that standup comic and former Fear Factor host Joe Rogan is fully nestled in the mortgage-paying cradle known as middle age, complete with a wife and three kids, he's become centered and more mellow. (He's also a strong supporter of marijuana for medicinal and recreational purposes, which may explain the mellow part.) But the man can still be a raging, riffing ball of comic intensity when he wants. On his podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, he and guests engage in epic shit-shooting sessions that often go up to three hours. He can also still get a bit manic and unhinged onstage, spewing out wild-eyed rants that can turn any performance into a full-on verbal assault. He's one of the few comics you actually hope gets hassled by drunken hecklers during a show, so you can see him go off on them in the most creative and profane ways. —Craig D. Lindsey
