Jason Adamo Band, Chris Hendricks Band

When: Mon., Jan. 16, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: Free

If you're into the whole free-flowing vest, top button undone, loose necktie and blue jeans look, and the music that comes with it, you'll find plenty of it at this show. If Christian rock music never mentioned Jesus, it would sound a lot like this. Sometimes melodic, approaching soulful with a nod to blues and a heavy dose of strumming melodies that bring it on home, Jason Adamo Band will play a free show at 9 p.m. Chris Hendricks Band will open. JAB, which hails from the City of Oaks, is also heavy on hooks, as on "Raleigh Nights," a tune that shouts out familiar spots around town while declaring that the group has had enough to drink and it's time to put an end to the night. It's a fitting soundtrack for what promises to be an interesting start to 2012. Visit the-pour-house.com.—Joe Schwartz
