Since the U.S. invasion of Iraq began on March 20, 2003. Last month's figures in parentheses:

  • 4,243 U.S. troops killed (4,226)
  • 31,010 U.S. troops injured (30,934)
  • 317 Coalition troops killed (317)
  • 446 contractors killed (446)
  • 8,887 Iraqi police and military killed (8,885)
  • 98,911 Iraqi civilians killed (98,594)
  • 136 journalists killed in Iraq (114 were Iraqi)(136)
  • 647 U.S. troops killed in Afghanistan (637)
