Cassandra Wilson's voice defies the jazz or blues taglines. Without constraining, she follows the lineage of both with enough daring and sincere soul to spare. A sculpted singular voice, her most recent Blue Note album Glamoured finds her warmth and undeniable personality on adaptations of songs by Muddy Waters to Sting.
