What is it with Triangle artists and robots? Fans of Raleigh artist Paul Friedrich may be interested in the paintings of Durham's David Rose, who is part of a group art show at Father & Son Antiques and Sandspur Studios in Raleigh. Rose's work demonstrates his obsession with '50s-style representations of robots and astronauts (see "Submit," pictured, and www.grfxmonkey.com for further images). His colorful, apocalyptic images are being shown in tandem with the work of Raleigh natives Joey Howard and Jimmy McDonough, and Chapel Hillian Leah Sobsey, through March 24.
