Zurich-born international tightrope walking sensation David Dimitri
(pictured) will make his 2001 American debut at the North Carolina Museum of Art this weekend. Dimitri's circus career began at age 7 when he performed with the Swiss National Circus, Knie, as an animal trainer. At 10, he "graduated" to circus clown and later went off to get an education--at the International School for Circus Arts in Budapest, followed by a stint at the Julliard School in New York. Dimitri has also starred in the Cirque de Soleil's 1992 production of Roi de Fou
