On one level, David Auburn's drama Proof (which took both the Pulitizer and the Tony for best play last year) deals with the questionable authorship of a brilliant mathematical proof, one found just after the death of an erratic Chicago professor. But "proof" is one of those words that keeps turning on you: Ultimately, this study in relationships also takes on genius, love, loyalty--and sanity--and asks to what degree can any of these be ever truly proven, and how much we must take each on faith. Ted Shaffner directs PlayMakers Repertory Theater Company's Philip Davidson, Connan Morrissey, Andy Paris and Christina Ross at Paul Green Theater. For tickets, call 962-7529.
