The "Brechtian punk cabaret act," formed in mid-2000, have been selling out shows in their hometown of Boston. Their cabaret flavor and talent has gotten them gigs as openers for Beck, the B-52s, Jane's Addiction and others. Palmer has been described by Pitchfork Media as having a "voice [that] can slide from shipwreck bullhorn to girly twitter and back within the same line." While the Dresden Dolls have remained a mystery outside of the greater northeast, they're beginning to work their way down the East Coast.
For their performance, The Cave is planning a transformation into the Cave Cabaret. Hellion, bass, trumpet, drums and BIG harp and Miss Pixie, a vaudevillian performer, will kick this theatrical night off. The show starts at 9 p.m. The best part is, you get dinner and a show AND a concert for only $8! (But you have to bring your own dinner).
