In storytelling
Chapel Hill's The Cave has been branching out recently with its monthly Lit Night open mic events, on the third Tuesday of each month. This week, the bar takes another step in a different direction when storyteller and singer-songwriter Jerry Harmon takes over their small, smoky stage. Harmon is the great-great grandson of Council Harmon, the original storyteller who came from England to the Blue Ridge and Appalachian mountains. Jerry is the last in his family to carry on the storytelling tradition. Hear him this Saturday, Feb. 2 at 7 p.m. Call 968-9308 for details.
