Local celebrations of the life of
MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. remind us not to return to "business as usual," but instead to wake up and take Dr. King's words to heart. The events are inspiring and joyful: Youth in the MLK All-Children's Choir raise up their voices at Exploris on Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2:30 pm, and the choir will be joined by the Triangle Youth Jazz Ensemble for a benefit concert on Sunday, Jan. 15 at 4 p.m. at Raleigh Memorial Auditorium. Assembly for the MLK Memorial March starts at 10 a.m. at the State Capitol in Raleigh on Monday, Jan. 16, and the First Annual Triangle MLK Day of Community Service on Jan. 16 may just inspire you to take action.
