photographer M.J. Sharp
has been sitting up nights with a 4x5 Graflex and a burning interest in capturing the beauty of nighttime botanicals. The result is Through A Glass, Darkly
, an exhibit of photographs of blooms under various nighttime illuminations--moonlight, streetlight, flashlight and so on--taken during a season of nocturnal photographic obsession. The open studio showing, which runs as part of the Durham Arts Council's Durham Art Walk, is on the middle floor of the Durham Arts Place building, Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 13-14, from 1-5 p.m.
