In klezmer
The Duke Institute of the Arts is bringing Brave Old World: The Klezmer Supergroup to the Triangle this week. The quartet, including vocalist-fiddler Michael Alpert (known for his heartfelt, Yiddish-language renderings), famed klezmer clarinetist Kurt Bjorling, accordion player Alan Bern and multi-instrumentalist Stuart Brotman, are known for their virtuoso, cutting-edge klezmer music.
