It's that time of year again. The pigs are ready to race, the cotton candy is ready to get all over your kids' hands and there's more games, demonstrations, livestock and first class people-watching than you can shake an Ag Commissioner at.
This year, there's also some first class entertainment headed to the fairgrounds (yes, even better than Foreigner), and we're not talking about the Clay Aiken concert (it's sold out anyway).
The whole thing kicks off Oct. 15 and runs til Oct. 24. Tickets are $6 for adults. Information is at www.ncstatefair.org/2004fair/index.htm.
