In dog events
If you're looking to spend some time outside this weekend, don't leave your dog behind. Raleigh's 12th annual Bark in the Park will feature events for both you and your pooch. A dog show will award prizes in 11 categories: best bark, owner-pet look-alike, longest ears, largest dog and best beggar, to name a few. There will also be a Frisbee contest, arts and crafts booth and various local vendors. Bark in the Park will be held Saturday, May 19, from 12 to 4 p.m. in Raleigh's Millbrook Exchange Park.
