Also on the bill is the North Carolina Youth Tap Ensemble's Sixth Annual Day of Rhythm (pictured below)--headed up by the alpha-mom of moms, Yvette Glover (mother of tap legend Savion Glover, and show stealer in her own right). The two-hour show includes an impressive range of styles from rhythm tap to a French-Canadian waltz-clog, and showcases such guest talents as Dianne "Lady Di" Walker and the Triangle's very own Michelle Dorrance. Performances (which will be interpreted for the hearing impaired) are Saturday, May 13, at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the Carolina Theatre in downtown Durham. For more info, call 967-9624. --Whitney Vaughan
