Currently living in Chicago, UNC-Chapel Hill graduate Zach Ward is returning to his old stomping ground this week and bringing the 2nd Annual Dirty South Improv Festival
with him. Ward organized the festival to help improv grow as an art form "back home." In the past year, DSIF has tripled in size, now comprising more than 90 improvisers from over 11 different troupes. DSIF 2002 will feature a full-length improvised show with Ward and Beth Melewski, and performances from We Brake for Nobody, OtherSide Comedy (from Wilmington), Toast, Lighted Fools and others. The festival also includes workshops. Tickets are only $5 and can be purchased at the door. For details, call 945-5211.
