Much like each generation predicts that its time is certainly the end of time (and, hey, maybe this time we're right?), every few years you read criticism that proclaims the model of a guy with a guitar can no longer contribute to the conversation of "interesting music." Time and again, that notion soon gets thwarted by a left-field record that's hard to ignore. Tonight's guys-with-guitars theme is different: These four musicians are improvisers in noise, jazz and mass composition projects, but the idea still holds that even the basic, most familiar ideas aren't yet exhausted. Tonight, Bryce Eiman, Randy Alley, Andras Fekete and Bruce Stevens join for a night of duos and solos. —Grayson Currin
