Anticipating the GirlTalk: Women and Text show opening Sept. 22, CAM installs Marilyn Minter's mesmerizing three-minute video work I'm Not Much, But I'm All I Think About in the basement media lab. In slow motion, the letters M and E plummet and splash into what looks like molten silver. M&M candies also pepper the luxuriant shots. Playing off her initials, Minter teases herself about how self-involved artists can be, until the "me" vanishes beneath the glossy metallic surface. CAM's Third Friday festivities also include food trucks and an 8 p.m. program of 16 mm classroom films from A/V Geeks titled "The Last Time We Went Solar." The event runs 6–9 p.m.; admission is $5, or free for museum members.—Chris Vitiello
