In the waning days of summer, Holy Ghost Tent Revival plays the penultimate performance of Saxapahaw's summer music series. The sextet spasms with life as crashing drums and drunken trombone slurs interrupt guitar and banjo. Whether it's more appropriate to swing or headbang to the layers of Americana anthems, New Orleans jazz and irrepressible punk is anybody's call, but the plywood stage will be lucky to make it through the show in one piece. Festivities kick off at 6 p.m. HGTR also plays The Broad Street Cafe Friday night at 11. Chris Bryant and Old Avenue start the free show at 8 p.m.—Andrew Ritchey
