Greg Humphreys' broad tastes get another workout on his latest, People You May Know. The third solo album by the leader of Hobex and the erstwhile Dillon Fence goes for the croon as it explores a motley lot of character sketches over a generally piano-driven blend of jazz, light swing and classic pop. Humphreys' velvety baritone proves a fine vehicle for the style, just as it has for the Laurel Canyon folk, strummy country-blues, greasy soul and college pop of his prior bands and solo efforts. It's better to simply describe him as an exceptionally skilled singer-songwriter and let him do the rest. The free set starts at 6:30 p.m.—Chris Parker
