Gouge Wrestling, Cirque De Vol & Food Truck Rodeo

When: Sat., Aug. 25, 5-10 p.m. 2012
Price: Free

Are you sitting down? If so, get up and make tracks to Rebus Works. This is the event that some hidden, starving corner of your soul has been wasting away waiting for. I mean, first of all, Gouge Wrestling all-stars. We're talking Jimmy Jack Funk Jr. grappling with Lou Marconi, and Seymour Snott, The Taker and Gluteus Maximus getting their family-friendly rassle on in the ring. Then there's a demolition derby of food trucks: Chirba Chirba, Klausie's Pizza, Bulkogi, Captain Poncho's Tacos, Sympathy for the Deli, Triangle Raw Foods and Porchetta. That's seven trucks, people. Wash it all down with cold beer before the fire dancing starts. Uh huh, there will be fire dancing and aerial acrobatics from Cirque de Vol, which is in the middle of an Indiegogo campaign to open a teaching studio. The whole event benefits the Cirque, founded by sisters Sarah and Sharebear Phoenix. Flame on, y'all. Visit Rebus Works on Facebook. —Chris Vitiello
