Go veg, end animal suffering

I appreciate and support FLO Food's mission for "fair, local, and organic" food ("How FLO can you go?" Eat & Drink, by Victoria Bouloubasis, Feb. 27). Yet considering that we can all be healthy without eating animals (flesh) and their secretions (milk, eggs), to continue to make animals suffer and die for our food is in no way "fair": it is unnecessary and therefore unjust. We have a choice, the animals don't.
