Georgann Eubanks

When: Fri., April 12, 7 p.m. 2013

Commissioned by the North Carolina Arts Council, Georgann Eubanks' Literary Trails of North Carolina trilogy from UNC Press has, since 2004, explored the wide variety of authors, stories and historical culture forming the backbone of the state's literary scene. Her trilogy finally concludes with Literary Trails of Eastern North Carolina: A Guidebook, in which she hits the coast for 18 tours from Raleigh to the Dismal Swamp, the Outer Banks and the Sandhills, exploring the region's connections to more than 250 writers of fiction, nonfiction, plays, poetry and more. Authors featured include Kaye Gibbons, Jill McCorkle and Bland Simpson, with excerpts from multiple works and web links for further exploration. —Zack Smith
