Founded in 1962, The Carolina Friends School espouses a philosophy of spirituality and simplicity. The long list of alumni joining this annual celebration and fundraiser suggest that making a joyful noise must also be a part of their mission statement. Groups such as Diali Cissokho & Kaira Ba, The Ayr Mountaineers and Humble Tripe all feature former students, as do the other six acts who'll be taking the stage. The all-day affair features a free outdoor show in the afternoon, with a ticketed indoor event in the evening. —Ashley Melzer
