Eyes to Space
  • Eyes to Space

LOCAL 506—A curio worth treasuring in the local landscape, Eyes to Space combines chops capable of taking the futuristic party to ProgDay with a song-driven concision that's enviable. Above keytar, bass, drums and shredded guitar, they get political, funny, charming and cinematic. Invasion, Sleepsound and Senryu open this free show starting at 9 p.m. —Grayson Currin

UNIVERSITY MALL—Got a little touch of the Madness? Feverish fans have a chance to honor the occasion in a literary way by attending Deep Dish Theater Company's presentation of March Madness! Nicole Farmer, Byron Jennings II and David Carr will read basketball-themed stories by authors Bobbie Ann Mason, John Edgar Wideman and Darcy Frey. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. A donation of a non-perishable food item or $5 is suggested. Call 968-1515 or visit for more info. —Ashley Roberts

COMMON GROUND THEATER—So you've seen Streetcar, Menagerie and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof and you think you know your Tennessee Williams? Well, finish that mint julep and check out six rarely seen Williams short plays, to be presented tonight at 8 p.m. For more info, visit or call 698-3870. —Megan Stein
