COMEDYWORX—Now that they've established a beachhead in Raleigh, Chicago's iO Theater is sending a six-team longform lodgment. They'll share the stage with the Transactors and three other local teams in the iO South Improv Invitational, along with emcee Charna Halpern, doyenne of American improv. Shows are tonight and tomorrow, at 8 p.m., 10 p.m. and midnight; tickets are $10, $5 for midnight shows, or $25 for a pass to all six shows. VARIOUS VENUES—El Kilombo in Durham will have their monthly fund-raising Club Cimarron Dance Party at Cinelli's Pizza, featuring salsa, meringue, reggaeton and bachata (www.elkilombo.org). For folkies, there will be a contra dance at Century Center in Carrboro (www.csda-dance.org; 967-9948).
