"Looking for drugs in all the wrong places," the pretty fantastic opening line from Fake Problems' "Songs for Teenagers," encapsulates the band's aesthetic: Rock 'n' roll can be as aware of the party as of the hangover. Think Gin Blossoms drunk-dialing the Afghan Whigs. Laura Stevenson & the Cans, playing second on this four-band bill, may hold onto a slight Jenny Lewis flair, but Stevenson got her start in New Jersey ska collective Bomb the Music Industry. Refreshingly, this jangly indie outfit identifies more with the punk world than the folkies. Also on the bill are Pomegranates and the dialed-down, acoustic pop-punk of Into It. Over It. —Corbie Hill
