As far as names of notable rock guitar instrumentalists go, "Eric Johnson" pales in comparison to the Satrianis and Malmsteens of the world. When it comes to actual chops, however, the man behind the ubiquitous "Cliffs of Dover" is right there with the best string-benders. He's touring behind his most recent album, 2010's Up Close, which features Johnson (and a handful of famous friends) bounding through the blues-rock spectrum. He won't have folks such as Jonny Lang and Steve Miller along for the ride on this night, but you don't go to an Eric Johnson show for the guest stars. Tickets to the 8 p.m. show are $24 in advance, $32 day of show. —David Raposa
