Elderberry Block Party with Brother Esau, Tim Stambaugh & Friends, Stuart McNair, TeaCup Gin, Andrew Kasab

When: Sat., Aug. 24, 1-8 p.m. 2013
Price: Free
Sponsored by Norm's Farms in Pittsboro, this elderberry-themed event in the heart of Carrboro promises a "grassroots celebration of wellness, family, friends, music, healing, and art." Three stages—two at Southern Rail (on its front porch and inside The Station bar), the third across the street at 2nd Wind—showcase 22 acts throughout the afternoon and early evening. Hindugrass, New Town Drunks, A Mad Affair, Brother Esau and Gasoline Stove are just a few of those who will be on hand to impress. If that's not enough, there will be crafts and plenty of elderberry treats to entice. —Ashley Melzer
