The daily guide to life in the Triangle

RALEIGH Family Discovery Day N.C. Museum of Art-- The museum's Family Discovery Day, Kollections for Kids, is a free opportunity to spend some time with your kids and learn a bit about the surprisingly extensive world of collecting. Workshops, films, displays, performances and the opportunity to make miniature boxes for your own collections will all be available at the event. You'll even be able to find out what exactly a lepidoptera is. Visit www.ncartmuseum.org for details. Day of The Dead exploris-- Although it's usually celebrated around here on Nov. 2, Día De Los Muertos is the focus of attention at Exploris on Oct. 30. El Pueblo stops by to give lessons on making sugar skulls, and to elucidate how the Day of the Dead differs, and how it doesn't, from Halloween. No charge other than the price of admission to Exploris; events start at 2 p.m.
