Who knew that covering one's body in baby powder in order to give the impression that the person is "ashy" could do wonders for a comedian's career? D.C. comic Donnell Rawlings covered himself in nothing but talc as the immensely unmoisturized dice player Ashy Larry on a Chappelle's Show skit once—and that's been dude's claim to fame ever since. (Well, that and the "I'm rich, biaaaaach!" line he yelled at the end of every Chappelle's Show episode, as part of Dave Chappelle's vanity card.) He would later revisit the character for a series of webisodes called, of course, From Ashy to Classy. But it isn't all about being ashy for Rawlings. He's also a very funny stand-up, and Triangle audiences can get a sampling of that when he performs at Goodnight's this weekend. However, don't try to be funny and roll up on him with some lotion. It's very likely he's gotten tired of that already—and he might call you a biaaaaach for it. —Craig D. Lindsey
