Those diggin' on Deep Dish Theater's production of the robotic comedy Henceforward... should check out the company's tie-in discussion of Douglas Adams' classic book/ radio series/ TV program/ text-based computer game/ feature-film-not-worth-mentioning The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. I remember well reading those books over and over that one summer Mom and Dad dropped my brother and me at Grandma's in Utica, Ky., before Grandma had cable.
I have to this day a collection of sketches from comic book artists with "DON'T PANIC" stenciled on the cover in homage to The Guide, perhaps yet another reason why I failed to date until after college. Analyze the poetic subtext of Vogon poetry, ponder the question that led to the answer "42" or just compare stories of trying to fly by throwing yourself at the ground and missing. The discussion begins at 7 p.m.; regrettably, Pan Galactic Gargle Blasters will not be served. —Zack Smith
