There's a lot of excellent theater in the Triangle, thanks in part to companies that actively support the development of new work by fine local playwrights. One of these is Katja Hill (disclosure: Hill is married to INDY culture and sports editor David Fellerath), whose acting has lit up many local stages. She's also a writer with a vivid ear for the wry and the tender, and in Debris, she mines her life for material. This developmental workshop is presented with minimal production, and Deep Dish artistic director Paul Frellick engages the audience in post-reading discussions as this touching work about mothers, daughters and memory evolves. —Kate Dobbs Ariail
