Dayglow | Red Hat Amphitheater | Clubs & Concerts | Indy Week
This is a past event.
When: Fri., Oct. 7, 6 p.m. 2011
Price: $30-$60

The most primal point of Dayglow is to party. The multimedia orgy incorporates body paint, theatrics, lights and live music into an energetic burst that turns electronic dance music junkies into liberated souls. The bigger point, though, is that the boundaries of live music can be pushed beyond the typical performer-audience relationship, so that even the appearance of rising crossover star Wolfgang Gartner is secondary at best to his imaginative surroundings. In a music industry that's constantly complaining about its future, Dayglow offers an edict to get creative. Of course, as with most everything at Raleigh Amphitheater, there is one caveat: The party starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 p.m., meaning that—at least for an hour or two—you'll have to get crazy in the dusk's light. —Grayson Currin
