If you've lived in Durham for a while, you can recall the failed revitalizations that contributed iteratively to Downtown's current success. Without that historical perspective, it's hard to speak analytically about urban development in the Triangle, particularly through a mouthful of fried chicken and waffles. Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau CEO Shelly Green moderates a panel including Chapel Hill mayor Mark Kleinschmidt, Durham County commissioner Ellen Reckhow and other community leaders in a conversation about progress and people. The event is in conjunction with the PlayMakers Repertory Company's productions this season of A Raisin in the Sun and Clybourne Park. The free conversation begins at 7 p.m. —Chris Vitiello
