Crystal Bright & the Silver Hands, A Tin Djinn

When: Fri., March 23, 9 p.m. 2012
Price: $8

Theatrical Greensboro outfit Crystal Bright and the Silver Hands leverages Bright's ethereal vocals to otherworldly effect. Set against eerie arrangements, Bright sings dark songs, resulting in a sort of gypsy folk cabaret.

Raleigh trio A Tin Djinn's glam rock draws obvious inspiration from Queen and Bowie. Also on the bill: promising power-pop-meets-garage trio Hectorina—the latest project from Charlotte's Dylan Gilbert—and edgy, female-fronted Greensboro hard rockers Dreamkiller. Mardi Gras costumes are encouraged for the event, which is billed as "The CarnEVIL" and also features preformances of aerial acrobatics. —Spencer Griffith
