Crowther: A lot of chutzpah

Hal Crowther is correct ("The elephants in the room," cover story, Feb. 13): The Republican Party of 2008 ain't what it used to be, not yet, anyway. How else to explain that the opposing party is hanging about even with the GOP in early polling, despite the fact that the party of the left is headed, on the one hand, by a personally and politically corrupt Billary combo and, on the other, by a near-blank slate of a man on which so little of accomplishment has been writ that the politically correct crowd can chalk on it every platitude they have ever conjured?

Yet Crowther has the chutzpah to speak of "midget Republicans."
