Community Cookbook 

A wonderful stand-by cake to serve with tea or to finish a holiday meal. Serve with or without ice cream for any occasion.

Ingredients for Cake:
1 box yellow cake mix
1 3.4-ounce box instant vanilla pudding
4 eggs
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup Southern Comfort whiskey

Ingredients for Glaze:
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons water
1/4 cup Southern Comfort whiskey

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease and flour a standard Bundt pan.
In medium bowl combine cake mix, pudding, eggs, oil and Southern Comfort. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes. Put into prepared pan and bake for 1 hour. Cool and invert onto plate.
Prick top with toothpick or fork. Brush cake on top and sides with half the Southern Comfort glaze. Cool. Reheat glaze and brush top and sides with remaining glaze. Serves 8.

Southern Comfort glaze: In a small saucepan, heat all ingredients over medium heat. Stir to dissolve sugar and brush over tops and sides of cake.
